Dolly Martinez's Bio

Dolly has garnered numerous awards and sold numerous pieces of her work throughout the years; she has also instructed in art since 1977, after having tutored under the likes of revered Texas artists Dick Turner and Gayle Boggess.

Her art is on display throughout the Southeastern United States, and in Ireland; her favorite medium is oil, though she is equally accomplished using watercolor and acrylic. Her specialties include murals and canvas; one of her recent creations, a life size fiberglass horse with a golf scene depicted across the entirety of the figure, is on display at a residential community in South Carolina. This “Horsing a Round” creation has garnered considerable attention after being chosen as a victor by Aiken, South Carolina’s Art League.
